  • This course is designed to increase your connection with your dog through fun heeling and distance exercises. In addition to enhancing current skills, students will learn a variety of signs from the CARO Rally handbook from novice to versatility, and have a brief introduction to working rally. Dogs will learn various sits, downs, stays, recalls, finishes in heel position. In addition, weaving through legs, backing up, moving down and more will be introduced. These exercises will be expanded on and proofed in Rally level II. Why doesn’t TailWinds ONLY teach novice signs in level one? First, because some exercises are harder and need more time to be perfected. Second - some of the most helpful heeling exercises are at the versatility level - and they are so fun and easy that even children in the house want to get involved!

  • This course will focus on advanced, excellent and versatility signs. In addition, this will include taking your training 'on the road' through coursework. One key component to advanced rally is the ability to send your dogs to specific agility equipment, so these skills will also be covered, with exercises you can do at home with minimal space. Working exercises will also be expanded on, which are complimentary to the distance skills needed in traditional rally.

  • This course will focus on the signs that continue to challenge you, breaking down CARO rules (for those who want to trial), and focuses on working rally. Working rally combines aspects of multiple sports into fun packages. With scent, named object, basic retrieval, cone work, barrel racing, back away, drop on recall, and distance exercises, this class is also fantastic for those agility/scent students who struggle with 'velcro' dogs in gamble/distance class, get zoomies, or struggle with retrieves.

Obedience Foundations

This course is designed to give your dog ‘toolkits’ on how to appropriately interact with you and their environment. Rather than jumping, biting, pushing, or getting into trouble when not told what to do, these dogs will learn how to voluntarily offer you only desired behaviours. This program is designed to fill in any gaps that your dog may have in their training, proofing distractions, and creating real-life situations to challenge your dog. This is modelled after the CKC Canine Good Neighbour program and is an excellent exam prep course.

Each session $175+hst, is four weeks (four hour long sessions) and is a semi-private to ensure maximum time to address real life issues. Class may be pushed to the next session if it does not fill, or your registration can be shifted towards privates. Click below to learn more, and to register.
